Support Assistant – Community Opportunities Day Services
£27,855 - £29,139 per annum
Working Pattern: 30 hrs per week, 1 Year fixed Contract.
Are you passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities? If you are, we have vacancies in our Learning Disability Day Service. The service works with a wide range of residents that have learning disabilities, young adults with behaviours which are highly challenging (PBS) and PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities). We support people based on their individual assessed needs and support plans; this can range from 2:1, 1:1 staffing and shared support. We offer a wide range of community and building-based activities that work to improve people’s health and well-being, aiming to learn new skills, gain independence, and achieve goals set in the outcomes. All our residents are supported in a strength-based and person-centred approach.
We are looking for highly motivated, hard-working staff to join our service and support the residents who access the service to achieve and develop greater skills and independence. We support people in the community doing a wide variety of activities including bike riding, swimming, music groups, and yoga. We also support people to access the local and wider community, including trips to museums and other places of interest.
