Main Duties of the Job
The Occupational Therapist's role is to provide assessments and interventions with a focus on recovery through meaningful activity, establishing roles and routines, social inclusion, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and facilitating discharge for women on an acute inpatient mental health ward.

Job Responsibilities
* Work with the wider MDT to coordinate and contribute to a programme of therapeutic group work that promotes wellbeing and recovery.
* Prescribe basic equipment or refer on for more specialist equipment/major adaptations.
* Provide occupational therapy leadership for students, designated junior staff, and volunteers, through supervision and appraisal.
* Work with the OT leadership team and wider MDT to contribute to and lead on defined projects aimed at improving the experience of inpatient service users and carers that we serve.
Minimum Requirements
In addition to experience, all qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:
* Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy.
* HCPC Registration.
Experience
* UK NHS Experience.
* Post-registration experience in rehabilitation and condition management.
