Summary This job is responsible for the final quality laser checks, processing of lasers on/off soak tests and providing support to operational teams. Primary Responsibilities FQC of Lasers: • Final inspection and test of laser systems including services and demos. • Preparation of systems for despatch. • Updating and maintaining QC records. • Resolution of FQC failures (liaising with manufacturing leads and product managers to ensure a timely resolution). Logistics: • Preparation and packing of lasers and any shipping requests. • Create & check delivery notes & invoices. • Booking & management of shipments. • Responding to Customer, Customs & Courier queries. • Support packaging supplier Call Off, Stock Take & Purchase Orders • Maintaining logs for Production, Service & Goods Out • Updating SAGE Work Orders as part of Logistics process Finalisation of Lasers: • Processing of lasers through finalisation stage ensuring product is calibrated, within specification and ready for Final Quality Checks. Process Lasers on and off Soak Test: • Loading and starting Soak Tests on the day it is ready for soak. Lead to be notified if any laser will not be on soak at the end of the working day • Unloading of Soak Lasers within 4 hours of laser passing STA. • Ensuring all tests are processed correctly with no cosmetic defects or issues affecting performance or Soak Test results. • Laser to be processed in line with standard processing times for each product type. Operational Support Tasks: • Maintaining all Soak rooms to required 5S standards. • Unloading and booking-In Service & Demonstration systems using Service Database & SharePoint. • Transportation of manufacturing Kits, Assembled Laser or Components • Support Logistics team with assembling packaging sets and document scanning • Supporting manufacturing areas with 5S tasks General Tasks • Maintain strict compliance with the quality, environmental and occupational health and safety regulations and implementation of the instructions of the quality, environmental management and/or occupational health and safety officer. Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies • Understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures. • Previous experience within a similar role (desired). • Previous high-tech industry experience (desired). • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination. • Strong attention to detail. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Electronics skills. • Good organisational skills. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Can demonstrate initiative and ability to “think on feet”.
