As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed. Responsibilities: Support students with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, on a one-to-one or small group basis. Assist in the delivery of personalised education plans (IEPs) tailored to individual student needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to promote confidence and engagement. Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt lesson plans and resources. Encourage the development of essential life skills and independence. Monitor student progress and report observations to teachers and SENCOs. Provide emotional and behavioural support to help students overcome challenges. Requirements: Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant is essential. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or childcare A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children. Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and remain resilient in challenging situations.
