We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Structural Engineer to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the Midlands and Home Counties, with clients in both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
As a key member of the engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively on a wide variety of challenging projects, ranging in value up to £30m. You will be involved from the initial design stages through to project completion, working closely with clients, architects, and other professionals.
Our client is looking for someone who is confident in designing across all major construction materials and who possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills. If you have a passion for technical excellence and want to make an impact, this role will allow you to showcase and expand your skills.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Experience with design in all major materials.
Proficiency in structural design and detailing software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS (knowledge of other packages such as Masterseries is also a plus).
Demonstrable experience in managing projects and working in a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Chartership status (e.g., ICE, IStructE) is desirable but not essential - we fully support our team members in achieving professional qualifications.
Desirable Attributes:
Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee a varied portfolio of projects.
An interest in leadership or mentoring junior staff, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as you progress.
A proactive approach to business development and continuous improvement.
