Job Description
The English and Maths GCSE Tutor will be responsible for delivering high-quality tutoring sessions to students preparing for their GCSE exams. Duties include:
1. Preparing lesson plans
2. Conducting one-on-one or group tutoring sessions
3. Assessing student progress
4. Providing feedback to help students improve their English and Maths skills
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
2. A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
3. Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum for English and Maths
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level
5. Experience in tutoring or mentoring students is highly desirable
Skills
Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of different learning styles with the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Desirable Qualifications
Master's degree in Education, previous experience in preparing students for GCSE exams, and additional qualifications in special education or literacy support are a plus.
