Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.
Job Purpose: Friendly, nurturing and understanding PA required to support a 13 year old to engage in activities/clubs outside the house with or without mum accompanying them. This could include going to the park, swimming, bowling and cinema. He likes running, going to the shops and buses but dislikes loud or busy places and is not keen on over friendly dogs. This child has a diagnosis of ASD with speech, language and communication needs. He uses short sentences and often talks fast when excited which can be difficult to understand. He requires support with self-care skills and needs supervision to ensure his own safety. Mum would like him to gain more experience of the world and acceptable behaviours around others.

Personal Specification:
Essential:
* Friendly, patient and understanding.
* Reliable, punctual and vigilant.
* Active.
* First Aid trained or willing to undertake training.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Use of own car for work and appropriate insurance for business use.
Desirable:
* Experience of working with/caring for children with additional needs.
Summary Terms and Conditions:
* The rate of pay for this position is £12.00 per hour.
* Hours and times of work as follows: Average 3 hours per week (days and times to be discussed at interview).
* The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
* Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.
* You will be reimbursed for any mileage and agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
The post is subject to the following:
* A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
* Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
* Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
