Shifts - Monday to Friday (7am – 3.30pm) with an early finish on a Friday
At Volvo Trucks, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent service and products to our customers. Our dealership is at the forefront of commercial vehicle service, and we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic team player to join our growing team.
Role
In this role, your main responsibilities will focus on delivering excellent service and support to our Edinburgh depot. You will be a key team member involved in the day-to-day tasks associated with the busy depot operations.
As part of the role, you may also be required to pick up and deliver parts, so a Full UK Driving Licence is a necessity.
What you will do
A few of the key responsibilities for the role will include:
* Help and support with general depot upkeep and maintenance spotting any risks and reporting them promptly.
* Collect and deliver materials and equipment from other Volvo or customer sites within the region.
* Help with loading and unloading equipment, operating in a safe and efficient manner.
* Lend a hand with general depot activities such as stock checks and preparing for customer and colleague site visits.
* Work with and coordinate the depot's Apprentices on general depot duties.
* Ensure equipment is correctly labeled and stock records are kept up to date.
* Report any defects, risks, accidents, or near misses straight away.
* Champion safe working practices and follow Health & Safety procedures to keep everyone safe.
Who are you?
* Driving Licence required.
* Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with people inside the organization as well as external customers.
* Documenting/recording information.
* Proactive, enthusiastic, and approachable.
* Flexible and positive approach to changing circumstances/priorities.
