Job description
A vacancy exists for a Senior Requirements Engineer to join the System Engineering, Engineering Integration & Governance (SEEIG) Team for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) Aquisition Programme (AP) and the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). FCAS AP and GCAP is a strategically important programme that delivers the concepting, design, development, build and flight test of the next generation air system. The programme is currently transitioning from the concept phase to the system definition phase. The role will aim to provide requirements guidance to the technical teams and support development of the key processes to enable programme success. Responsibilities: Developing tri-nationally agreed requirements management and requirements engineering processes. * Coordinating and communicating with the technicals teams.* Utilising DOORs to capture and manage requirements.* Informing the decision on future requirement management toolsets.* Reporting requirements status.* Ensuring artefacts are delivered in line with programme timescales to a high quality.* Supporting a culture of continuous improvement. There are a number of elements to this role:* Developing engineering processes.* Working with and guiding the development teams, and specialisms within the SEEIG organisation on requirements 'good practice'.* Working alongside the Product Technical Managers to ensure technical coherency and that 'the right product is engineered in the right manner'.* Supporting the transition from "normal operations" to a "digital operation"
