Job Title: Inclusion Services Manager Location: King Edwin School Line Manager Skills Manager Pay scale - Support scale S26-28 £36124-£37938 Hours of Work: 40 hours per week 40 days holiday per annum (inclusive of public holidays) Whole time, not term time only Key Duties and Responsibilities Leading on the annual schedule of Annual and Interim Reviews for students including supporting teaching and support staff to prepare robust information, ensuring that parent views are sought and that parents are strongly supported to attend and contribute. Ensure feedback from all stakeholders included in the annual review process is sought and acted upon. Prepare and carry out additional tasks to identify new or updated information about students as they are introduced to the school and throughout their journey. Act as a safeguarding officer Contribute to staff training on safeguarding and welfare related items Provide support and challenge in the investigation and follow up of any incidents. Contribute to the programme of staff development on a range of child protection and SEN related areas Participate in and contribute to multi agency meetings for students and families including Early Help, Child in Need, Child Protection, PEP or other meetings as appropriate. Work closely with families and carers to support and encourage engagement and good communication with school(s) Professional Knowledge and Understanding Have a detailed knowledge of education in a range of environments Be qualified in at least one therapeutic model Have a sound knowledge safeguarding Have a sound knowledge of the support structures and responsibilities for young people in care/who have left care Sound knowledge of the challenges experienced by parents of young people with additional needs Have resilience and be motivated to inspire change in self and others Demonstrate, encourage and insist on the review of all aspects of service delivery Have keen attention to detail Be able to lead and chair meetings, even in difficult situations Professional Responsibilities To inspire and develop others and empower the school staff to effectively deliver an environment conducive to learning and development even when experiencing challenges related to student needs. To promote and adhere to all aspects of the protection and welfare of children and young people, and ensure effective actions are taken by appropriate staff to keep students and their families safe and improve their lives To promote and actively support the needs of young people in care e.g attend PEPs, meet with social workers To insist on and deliver, a professional approach to day to all day tasks To promote a positive climate of mutual respect and effective communication amongst staff teams, both within and external to the direct line managementOther Requirements Flexibility of thinking with a solution focussed approach.
