Behaviour Teaching Assistant - SEN College - Croydon - ASAP Start - From £100 per day
Key Requirements:
1. Experience supporting students with ASD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour
2. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations
3. Experience in an SEN, SEMH, or Alternative Provision setting
4. Passionate about working with young people with additional needs
5. Team Teach or de-escalation training is desirable but not essential
The Role - Behaviour Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join an SEN College in Croydon, supporting students aged 16-25 with ASD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
2. Assist in managing challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques
3. Help students develop their social, emotional, and life skills
4. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to implement behaviour strategies
5. Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
