Role: Engineering Manager
Location: Shefford
Salary: £65,000 + Company Car/Car Allowance
Shifts: Monday to Friday Days (37.5 Hour Week)

The Business:
Our client is a well-established global manufacturing business with operations in 40 countries and over 4000 members of staff worldwide. The product they manufacture is unique to them as no other business in the UK can produce what they can. As a result, the company is extremely secure and holds long-standing contracts with private companies as well as government and local councils. The order book is continuing to grow, and the company is now at a point where they can really kick on and become a world-class manufacturing facility in the future.
The Role:
The role of Engineering Manager will include:
1. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, being involved in daily meetings and creating reports based around Maintenance Activity.
2. Looking after two sites, with the majority of time spent in Shefford.
3. Responsible for all Engineering activity, from Maintenance to Moulding Engineers and Production Engineers.
4. Creating projects that will increase OEE, reduce wastage, and presenting these to the Operations Manager.
5. Managing a team of 4 Engineers and a Team Leader.
6. Future planning of the site – focusing on long-term plans for Engineering rather than day-to-day maintenance.
7. Utilising and improving the CMMS system in place.
8. Developing the Engineering team with Training and Development plans.
9. Budget control for all Engineering activities.
The Candidate:
The right candidate for the role of Engineering Manager will have:
1. A recognised Engineering Qualification.
2. Experience working as an Engineering Manager in a Manufacturing Facility.
3. Experience in developing and increasing performance in teams.
4. Experience with a CMMS system and implementing KPIs.
5. Experience with long-term strategic planning to ensure the success of the site.
