Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver Savings - Compare products, liaise with clinicians and ensure well managed process.
2. Work Collaboratively - Support Clinical managers in delivery projects.
3. Develop - Manage your own categories and develop your experience.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or similar appropriate professional institute or relevant experience.
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development having undertaken relevant training courses.
Desirable
* Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS).
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
Experience
Essential
* Knowledge in category management with experience relevant to the areas outlined in the job description.
* A working understanding of the technical requirements of public sector procurement.
* Evidence of ability to plan, develop and implement initiatives with minimal supervision.
Desirable
* Experience of working with the NHS Terms and Conditions of Supply.
* Experience of working with senior staff and stakeholders.
* Evidence of achievements in terms of savings / service improvements.
Skills
Essential
* Able to determine the appropriate method to present new and/or complex information.
* Developed knowledge of Microsoft products.
Desirable
* Working knowledge of Bravo, Atamis or Eproc.
* Working knowledge of spend analysis tools.
