General Gymnastics Lead Coach – General Programme Based: Botwell Green Sports & Leisure Centre
GLL, the UK’s largest leisure provider and one of the first and largest leisure social enterprises, is looking for 25 hour General Gymnastics lead Coach based at Botwell Green Sports & Leisure Centre is based in Hayes, within the London borough of Hillingdon for our lessons and courses for children and adults.
A Gymnastics lead Coach is a highly rewarding role as a key player in 2012 Olympic legacy and in turn, our gymnastics courses are more popular than ever. You would be a passionate gymnastics lead coach live and breathe gymnastics and want to share that passion with your pupils and colleagues alike. Our gymnastics lead coach are good all-rounders, you’ll also specialise in any of a number of disciplines that we teach such as men’s and women’s artistic, rhythmic, trampoline and acrobatic.
As an experienced gymnastics lead coach, you’ll be qualified to Level 2 or 3. You’ll thrive on seeing others develop and as your courses and lessons will be your own to lead and plan, you’ll influence their success and growth. Ensuring the lessons are enjoyable, you’ll be able to think on your feet and be creative with the facilities around you, still making sure that your pupils are constantly observed and kept safe. Due to our size and scale, there will be plenty of hours available for you to coach and the bigger our courses get, the more opportunity there will be to further develop your career with us. What you will do:
1. Maintain a good and positive image of the Centre to customers and the public generally by providing a welcoming, helpful and professional service.
2. Ensure the safety and control of the pupils within the gymnastics lessons and to ensure that all relevant regulations applicable to the centres operation are enforced and complied with.
3. Understand and follow the Safeguarding Policy and Procedure & Behaviour policy contained within the gymnastics product.
4. Lead and motivate a team of coaches to deliver lessons in line with the product manual to ensure a consistent approach throughout your centres.
5. Be responsible for the gymnastics coach’s coordination and quality team teaching when on shift. Including the co-ordination of registers, grouping gymnast and managing ratios.
6. Mentor, develop and guide your team and any newly qualified coaches by providing developmental and positive feedback to teaching teams. Attendance at coaches Meetings and Training is required.
7. To ensure attendance is captured and accurately monitor pupil progression and update pupil progress to help pupil’s complete relevant awards in line with expected standards.
8. Assist with new-enrolments and re-enrolments as required by the Assistant manager – junior brands.
9. Actively encourage pupils to enrol on further courses and short courses.
