Responsible for own competence to practice and personal development, keeping up to date with physiotherapy practice in order to maintain competence and fitness to practice as a physiotherapist. To maintain a professional evidence based portfolio, meeting the requirement of the HCPC. Review and reflect on own practice and performance and make effective use of professional and operational supervision and annual review undertaking supervision of others as agreed. Complying with agreed development programmes to meet knowledge, skills and competency requirements. Demonstrate a good understanding and application of national guidelines and legislation relating to health and social care in service provision. Demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate current research, apply to practice and disseminate findings at a local level. Widen research and development skills through participation in local audit and research projects.
