Part-Qualified or Qualified Management Accountant role with an international business paying up to £45,000
Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a global company who, due to internal promotion, are looking for an ambitious part-qualified or qualified Management Accountant to take responsibility for an expanding area of the business.
This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in reporting on the financial performance of this new division.
Your new role
In this Management Accountant job, you will prepare detailed monthly management accounts to include P&L reviews, product costings, variance analysis, as well as prepare the yearly budgets and forecasting. As explained, the business has a global presence, and you will be supporting the Global Finance team with key financial performance data detailing production / manufacturing costs, which will involve extensive reconciliations, including the balance sheet across all brands and detailed analysis of gross profit, as well as reporting on operational costs to make efficiency savings.
The key duties will be producing the monthly management pack as this data is fed into the global figures and consolidated at group level. The role will also involve managing the process of ensuring the transactional finance across purchase and sale ledgers are posted correctly as this data is fed into the management accounts pack to monitor operational costs and investigate any discrepancies.
This is an ideal role for an experienced Management Accountant who is able to look into the financial details of the monthly pack and work closely with the transactional finance teams as well as working to tight deadlines and deal with queries from the Senior Leadership Team and key stakeholders. Therefore, you will have confident communication and analysis skills.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be at least Part-Qualified or a newly Qualified Accountant with extensive experience of preparing or at least assisting in preparing yearly budgets and producing detailed management accounts. These monthly reports will have commentary regarding variances, allowing you to explain the budget vs. actual spending on their brands and projects with a focus on gross profit. Therefore, you will have proven analytical skills and the ability to assist the business in making financial commercial decisions for this new and expanding division.
What you'll get in return
The organisation offers a salary of circa £40,000 - £45,000, 25 days of holiday plus the Bank Holidays, flexible working of 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office, plus other flexible benefits.
