An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer - Electrical Bias to join Rolls-Royce Power Systems (RRPS).
In this role, you will play an Ambassadorial role for the company, with recognised technical expertise. You will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks including replacement, upgrades or additional works for all RRPS' Marine supplied systems. RRPS Marine is responsible for the Sales and Service support of the world's most advanced Propulsion and Power systems across industry sectors such as Naval, Superyachts, Commercial Marine and Land-based systems.

What you will be doing:
In this interesting role you will:
* Carry out Commissioning, Service and Repair of IPMS, Propulsion and Power Systems to ensure that all products and systems are ready for operation. Anticipate and plan for issues and resolve problems by identifying and addressing the root cause and communicate to the Customer.
* Demonstrate compliance and appreciation of all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
* Knowledge share and support the on-the-job development of others where appropriate.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement, the transfer of best practices and the adherence to processes and procedures.
* Provide emergency on-call coverage as part of the Service Engineers' call-out rota.
* Compile Technical Reports in a timely manner and to a high standard on the completion of each job detailing the work undertaken and the reasons why.
* Use diagnostic tools, methods and procedures to identify faults and determine the root cause of failure that can be communicated to the customer.
* Support other service and sales activities as directed. Such as attending meetings with other department representatives.
Travel: The role will require regular travel within the UK & ROI and may additionally require spending time overseas, including product training in Germany and deployment overseas to any asset, either in port or potentially at sea under "Contractors On Deployed Operations" (CONDO) working arrangements.

* Appropriate qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar relevant qualification or demonstrable industry experience.
* Capable of making judgements on technical problems with moderate scope and complexity and where the maintenance solution is not always clear cut and will rely on practice and experience to evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.
* Proficient in MS Office and PC-based Engine Diagnostics software. On-the-job training will be provided for the relevant business IT systems.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety best practices.
* Technically competent and experienced in marine Propulsion and Power products.
* A disciplined individual capable of delivering & communicating the high standards expected of a blue-chip company.
