About the role:
RIXO is seeking a bright & ambitious Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices, maintaining supplier records, and supporting the overall Accounts Payable function. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of our business, and can evolve and grow with the right person taking charge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsibility for the Accounts Payable function
* Ensure all overhead invoices are processed, approved and paid in accordance with company policy
* Prepare and perform regular payment runs
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
* Respond to supplier and internal queries regarding payments and invoices
* Assist in month-end closing activities, including prepayments, accruals and reconciliations
* Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects and reporting as required
* Assist in the development and implementation of accounts payable processes and procedures.
* Responsible for travel bookings for the business
* Manage the company legal database, ensuring contracts are uploaded promptly & organized for easy access
What we're looking for:
* Proactive and able to work on your initiative
* Understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* A positive and flexible attitude towards work
* A process improvement mindset, with the ability to identify & resolve inefficiencies
* Previous experience with Netsuite ERP & working in a stock-based business is a plus, but not required
