Description
To provide a professional occupational health service to the college. Promote employee well-being and healthy living, providing expert advice and support to employees. Support managers in the management of attendance, health and well-being of their teams. Support with the development of health and well-being initiatives in line with the College Health and Wellbeing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide an excellent Occupational Health service for the college, developing and delivering all aspects health and well-being.
2. Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of health and well-being.
3. Develop and implement health related policies and procedures which are in line with current employment law, best practice and reflective of the Colleges strategic directions.
4. Support Managers to ensure that long term and persistent short term absence issues are resolved effectively. Formulate rehabilitation programmes and return to work strategies and liaise with legal advisors and other medical professionals where necessary.
5. Contribute to the development of line managers health-related people management skills through coaching and support.
6. Help to identify health and fitness for work issues at an early stage.
