Your Role: As a Duty Manager, you’ll be at the heart of creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Working alongside a dedicated team, you’ll ensure the hostel remains a safe, comfortable space that exceeds expectations. What We're Looking For: We’re seeking someone with a background in hospitality or customer service, or who can demonstrate transferable skills. Flexibility and a team spirit are key to delivering exceptional service to all our guests. Key Responsibilities: Foster a welcoming and relaxing environment in both the hostel and communal spaces. Handle reservations, inquiries, and meeting room bookings, both in person and online. Work closely with the Hostel Manager and staff to ensure the wellbeing of our guests. Manage our online booking system and carry out general admin tasks. Provide information on local attractions and events. Contribute to a community atmosphere for both guests and colleagues. Ensure safety and cleanliness of the hostel, performing room checks and liaising with housekeeping and maintenance teams. Respond to challenging behaviours following hostel policies. Set up rooms for meetings and events. Conduct regular building checks in line with safety procedures. Assist with other administrative tasks, including banking.
