The Role of Generator Field Service Engineer: In this key customer facing role our Generator Field Service Engineer will professionally and effectively service, check, and repair our fleet of generators and equipment at customer/client sites. Duties of our Field Service Engineers include: Travel to various customer sites and/or locations to professionally and effectively check, diagnose and repair generator mechanical faults and issues Replace, install and monitor/replace oil and fluids to ensure functionality Ensure all work is accurately recorded and provide recommendations where appropriate Procure and manage parts to effectively complete repairs as efficiently as possible Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including safety checks and implementing safe working procedures Escalating further concerns to our Central Service Manager Ensure high quality company standards and understanding the impact of great customer service Are you the right person for this role? The right candidate should have the following skills/qualifications and experience: A solid understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems specific to the operations of power generators You will be qualified to (S)NVQ Level 3 in Power Engineering or equivalent Be a CSCS Gold Card holder (Desirable) Experience gained in the Power/Plant Industry Critical thinker with ability to problem solve An effective communicator, specifically in explaining technical issues Capable of working to and achieving set targets/deadlines.
