As a Signs Officer, you will be responsible for the installation and removal of AA Signs and traffic management equipment for events of all sizes, working either alone or as part of a team. You will liaise with AA Signs customers and colleagues along with other external interested bodies in order to plan temporary signing and traffic management schedules for events.What will I be doing?nCustomer liaison to understand requirementsnMeet with customer at event site when necessary to discuss plansnInform administration colleagues of requirements to allow for preparation and sending of quotenOn quote acceptance, preparation of signing schedules and maps then submit for approvalnPrepare, assemble and load signs in preparation for installationnInstall and remove signs and equipment in line with plans ensuring accuracy at all timesnAssist other areas of AA commercial businesses where appropriate and directednn n What do I need?Capability, Knowledge and Experience: nnAbility to work unsupervised, outdoors in all weathersnMust hold full UK driving license (Category B)nMust be physically fit to carry out a roles that involves heavy lifting on a daily basis in a range of environments and weather conditionsnAbility and willingness to work, when necessary, to fit in line with the event industry which can include weekends and times outside of normal business hoursnCapability to work with ladders, at heights of up to 3mnn nEducation and Qualifications:n nnBasic IT skills (MS Office and role specific applications)nGood verbal and written communication skillsnProven ability to read, understand and navigate using mapsnPrevious traffic management / highways experience is NOT essential, full training will be given if necessarynnPersonal Characteristics:n nnExcellent time keepingnAbility to work alone or as part of a teamnAbility to adapt in a rapidly changing environmentnReceptive to changenAdditional informationWe’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do.
