We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Either Bias) to work within a large global company who have many factories across the UK and Worldwide. Their impressive site near Torquay is industrial, automated and production based. In this fast-paced environment, you will benefit from working as part of a friendly and loyal team of Maintenance Engineers working across planned preventative maintenance and responding to Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns.
Working within this large company, you will have plenty of scope and opportunities to progress your career, up-skill and gain further qualifications - should this interest you. The company has internal and external training to help people grow in such areas like multi-skilling, improving the Engineers weaker disciplines.
As a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer within this production environment, both electrical & mechanical bias candidates are of interest.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electro-mechanical maintenance work across the factory and are encouraged and supported to develop their weaker side, whether this be mechanical or electrical. You will benefit from a very supportive and loyal team, including the manager who has been in his role for over 10 years. The work is more your heavy equipment, a place where you can expect to get your hands dirty, coming with a bit of scope and depth to the role too.
You can really get stuck into the equipment, repairs, planned maintenance and across a range of projects too.
Requirements
1. Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a production or manufacturing environment is ideal, however for those with a great attitude to learning, the manager will also consider those with a Maintenance or Service background in any environment including motor vehicles, Armed Forces (RAF, ARMY, NAVY), industrial, manufacturing, production or automation.
2. You will need to have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold an engineering qualification at Level 3 or above.
3. Have some knowledge or experience of some of the following: motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
4. Good fault-finding skills.
5. Not essential but an electrical bias or electrical engineer is advantageous.
6. Friendly and adaptable working attitude.
7. Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty.
8. The ability to work effectively as part of the Maintenance team.
