What You’ll Be Doing You'll work closely with our HSE & Facilities Manager and the wider team to ensure our Tamworth site operates efficiently and safely. This hands-on role (70% practical, 30% administrative) involves maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site performance. We are looking for 2 Maintenance Technicians Key Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance & Repairs : Perform routine maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, ensuring all work complies with current legislation and safety standards. Preventative Maintenance : Plan, schedule, and execute preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Automated Systems Oversight : Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automated conveyance systems, SCADA, and industrial control systems to ensure optimal efficiency. Compliance & Safety : Conduct regular safety inspections, maintain compliance records, and ensure all maintenance work aligns with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. Spares & Inventory Management : Track spare parts usage and ensure critical components are readily available to prevent operational delays. Contractor & Project Coordination : Liaise with external contractors for specialised repairs, supervise work, and ensure necessary permits and risk assessments are in place. Process Improvement & Cost Control : Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, drive efficiency improvements, and support LEAN manufacturing principles. Material Flow & Uptime : Collaborate with operational managers to ensure seamless material flow, maximise plant productivity, and reduce downtime. Flexibility : Willingness to work outside standard hours during peak periods or urgent maintenance situations. You'll be a great addition to the team if you: Experience in a maintenance, engineering, or technical role within an automated, fast-paced environment. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, with knowledge of automated systems, SCADA, PLCs, or similar industrial controls. A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Familiarity with preventative maintenance strategies and compliance requirements. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. A strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, ideally with an IOSH qualification (or willingness to obtain). Excellent communication and teamwork skills, promoting a positive work environment. Experience in project management or leading maintenance improvements is a plus.
