Research Scientist

We are looking for:
A Research Scientist to perform a broad range of laboratory-based tasks on in vivo metabolism studies for new product development, following global regulatory requirements. This role involves executing analytical procedures, supporting study supervisors, preparing samples for analysis, and assisting in the development of new analytical procedures and study types.

Requirements:
4. BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences or related subject
5. Previous experience of working in an analytical, biochemistry, or similar laboratory (desirable)
6. Experience of working to GLP (desirable)
7. Good written and verbal communication skills
8. Organisational skills
9. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Key roles and responsibilities:
20. Perform established analytical procedures
21. Conduct general laboratory tasks
22. Support other members of staff as appropriate or as directed by management
23. Prepare samples for quantification, chromatography, or other analysis
24. Assist in the development of new analytical procedures and study types
25. Perform more complex experimental techniques, including dose preparation, dose administration, and HPLC setup and analysis
26. Act as a Study Supervisor on assigned studies, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard, including:Preparing dose theory calculationsSupervising Laboratory Technicians on assigned studiesCalculating and QC checking data for reviewPreparing experimental worksheetsChecking for repeat analysis as appropriatePreparing study updates and data for communication to the client and reports

Based in Northamptonshire, our Rushden site is a centre of excellence for Radiolabeled Sciences incorporating both Metabolism (which includes Clinical Metabolism, Pre-clinical ADME, In vitro and DDI services, Large Molecule Metabolism, Environmental Fate, Plant Metabolism and Metabolite Identification) in addition to Chemistry (which includes API and IMP manufacture).
