JOB PURPOSE The role of the Regional Sales Manager (Midlands) includes supporting High Street Retail Partners including Multiple Partners, Consortia Members, Home Workers, small Tour Operators and Independent Small Cruise Specialists in the designated locations. As part of this exciting role you will strive to grow sales for MSC Cruises, passionately delivering improved volume whilst increasing our New Product Development. You will be a people person, nurturing and developing Consortia agents and exploring and developing new business opportunities within the assigned geographical location. You will relish in the opportunity to attend cruise shows, events, training seminars, conferences and educationals as an ambassador of MSC Cruises. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES •Oversees designated territory and ensures appropriate amount of time is dedicated to support your partners with an execution plan •Analyses account profitability and opportunity and ensures that the distribution strategy is driving optimal return on investment •Works with revenue team/HOR to analyse weekly stats and provide insight/trending and implement relevant actions •Develops a more targeted contact strategy that enables you to the focus of delivering higher NPDs i.e. Yacht Club •Implementation, development and management of the sales strategy for new business opportunities within your territory •Develops annual sales and marketing plans for designated territory ensuring the plans are relevant and will drive improvement on profit and NPD •Effective implementation and communication of commercial terms ensuring all paperwork post negotiations are delivered in a timely fashion •Responsible for competitive intelligence gathering and provide recommendation to the organisation •Delivers effective training programmes and attendance of educationals amongst your accounts •Uses sales management tools available, in particular automation tools to ensure effective and efficient communication and account management •Works with Consumer Marketing Managers and Trade Marketing Team to ensure that MSC cruises are appropriately represented in all sales activity and co-op activity •Prepares and host client educational trips, i.e. Fam trips, Ship Launches, Ship Visits etc. QUALIFICATIONS •Minimum 5 years experience of sales within the UK & Ireland travel industry •Full UK Driving Licence and access to own car •Proven success in the development of key account management and acquisition strategy •Thorough knowledge of travel trade practices, with cruise industry experience preferable •Highly motivated team player with a positive ‘can do' attitude •Flexible on working hours and travel •Highly numerate and results focused •High standard of communication skills both written and verbal •Innovative and creative thinker •Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Office VISA REQUIREMENTS •Full Right to Work in the UK
