Senior Presales Solutions Consultant Job Description Oracle EMEA Applications Solutions Consulting team is hiring dynamic and energetic individuals to help customers maximize their investment on E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Hyperion and Siebel. We are looking for Presales solutions consultants with a solid background with EBS, JD Edwards or Hyperion to support the Western Europe business. Oracle EMEA has a strong, loyal applications install base that requires support to expand & extend and/or to adopt new technologies. The main objective of the solutions consulting team is to become a trusted advisor for Oracle's sales teams, partners and customers, building and optimizing solutions for our customers, helping define the customer?s future path with Oracle Applications. This role requires a proactive individual who is able to use their experience to positively impact go-to-market strategy and direction to increase revenue from Oracle?s on-premise Applications. Responsibilities Understand and map customer needs to our solutions in new sales opportunities Provide a variety of Presales Services (Discovery, Presentation, Demonstration, RFX response, solution scoping, Roadmap updates etc.) required during the sales process Work with sales teams, partners and customers to design and propose winning solutions, to drive Oracle sales and our customers success. Help development of pipeline through support of Marketing activities Work proactively with Partners to expand Oracle?s customer reach Support development of cloud business by pro-actively proposing hybrid solutions Required Skills & Experience Solid background as a solution consultant with EBS, JD Edwards or Hyperion Ability to understand customer's industry and core business processes Excellent communications and presentation skills to help customers and employees understand your direction and recommendations. Strong experience in customer discovery, identifying additional sales opportunities, with ability to influence the customer?s commitment to Oracle solutions Ability to work in a team environment to achieve challenging goals Good understating of our SaaS offering and Hybrid solutions would be beneficial. As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
