Description Job Summary Position supports designated material support groups and operations in the coordination and meeting accountabilities for documenting, processing and recording material management transactions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Attend morning warehouse meetings daily and communicate to keep up to date with all activities and issues within the group. Provide feedback to Material Support Group on inventory and material requirements. Coordinate the transport of major equipment, from supplier to warehouse or rig and also from the rig to the supplier or warehouse. Coordinate the movement of equipment from storage or the supplier to the Freight Forwarder for export to foreign locations. Monitor equipment on the Drill Pipe Report and Capital Spare / VAMs report for accuracy and ensure that items pulled from the central spares warehouse have a replacement/repair Requisition and are replaced in a timely manner. Prepare and implement the complete process for ordering, receiving, shipping and put away of inventory. Raise Field Requisitions where directed either for local office support. Receipt of PO’s where directed either for local office support Monitor and resolve any issues on the Open PO Report for delivery of critical spares for rigs. Assist with contacting supplier to decrease the lead time of inventory spare items. Provide input for items identified that need to be purchased as spares both on the rig and at support warehouse locations. Reduce onshore storage locations to a minimum, through the process of sales / Scrapping as per company procedure. Quote equipment need for preventive maintenance by technical support group or for other purpose. Monitor Rig and central spares warehouse inventory values and provide inventory performance information for Quarterly Business Reviews. Available to travel to company domestic and overseas locations to conduct warehouse and yard inventory audits. Work with Corporate materials on failings for Materials Audits offshore and assist to bring them back to acceptable levels. Provide inventory management training for storekeepers. Monitor storekeeper transactions in PeopleSoft to ensure compliance with procedures, for example: cycle counts, Virtual Inventory, Intern unit Transfers Manage and own the processes for running on Shore Virtual Inventory warehouses. Manage the process of disposition of inactive capital equipment in a prudent cost-effective manner. Develop, monitor and control Company’s Virtual Inventory program. Perform additional duties as necessary and participate in special projects as required. Frequent weekly visit to Capital Spares warehouse Available for after-hours/weekend/holiday calls for Supply Chain support. Report to Supply Chain Manager Qualifications / Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain or related field is required. Minimum of three ( 3) years of relevant Supply Chain experience. Minimum two ( 2) years experience in drilling or oilfield industry Skills & Experience Ability to multi-task and establish priorities. Committed to a high standard of safety and will and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer’s safety policies and rules. Must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel. Maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines. Maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion. Rig Pass, Helicopter Underwater Egress Training and other safety training as required for offshore rig visits preferred. Demonstrated effective leadership and influencing skills and practices. Knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing and management systems. Physically capable of being transported to an offshore rig by boat or helicopter. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level (use financial and logical functions; work with multiple worksheets and workbooks; edit and use macros; import and export information). Working knowledge of document control systems and databases. Deep knowledge of drilling equipment for offshore drilling environment, including knowledge of key suppliers, industry specifications and standards Strong technical knowledge of oilfield equipment and drilling equipment used by drilling contractors and suppliers of such equipment and oilfield materials and supplies Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English. Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of organization, departments as well as across different cultures. Strong negotiation skills with ability to influence others and effectively resolve contractual issues Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to gather and analyze/synthesize data, confirming its accuracy and adequacy as an integral part of the collective analysis/synthesis process.
