We are looking for an experienced bench Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping and assembling wooden components to create a variety of products, such as timber sash windows and staircases. This position requires a strong attention to detail, an ability to read and interpret jobsheets, and a knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques. The Joiner will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of their work meets the company's standards. Having experience using mortice and tenon machines would be a massive advantage.
Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret jobsheets, sketches, and other drawings.
* Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, and marking gauge.
* Cut or saw boards, timbers, and plywood to required size, using hand and power tools.
* Assemble cut and shaped parts and wood materials to form structures or frames.
* Fasten parts together with nails, screws, dowels, or glue.
* Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
