We are looking for an experienced and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Chorley. This role involves working with students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, including ADHD, autism, and challenging behaviours.
The school has a strong reputation for supporting students with SEMH and additional learning needs. With a structured, nurturing environment, the school promotes emotional well-being and academic progress through tailored interventions, small class sizes, and a dedicated pastoral team. Staff work closely with families and external agencies to ensure students receive the best possible support.
Contract position, with the opportunity to apply for a permanent role when available.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet students’ individual needs.
2. Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
3. Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and other professionals.
4. Foster a culture of resilience, confidence, and progress for all students.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience working with SEMH students.
3. A flexible and compassionate approach to teaching.
