JOB TITLE: HR Manager
LOCATION: Bristol Airport
CONTRACT: Permanent
HOURS: 40 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: any 5 in 7
PAY RATE: £37,500.00 per annum
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role involves managing activities such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, union relations, absence management and talent management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the local recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members. Ensuring compliance and maintenance of all records in relation to the application of airport ID Passes.
2. Employee Relations: Foster a positive working environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring effective communication between staff and management. Providing advice and guidance to team members on all conditions of employment and best practice aligned to ABM Company Policies.
3. Union Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for union representatives. Manage and negotiate collective bargaining agreements, handling grievances and resolving disputes.
4. Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems to evaluate team member performance and provide feedback.
5. Absence Management: Support the operational teams with long-term absence cases in conjunction with the approved Occupational Health Provider.
6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
7. HR Policies: Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures. Ensure that all policies are communicated effectively to team members.
8. HR Metrics: Analyse HR metrics and provide reports to management on key HR activities and trends.
9. Operational Changes: Support the operational teams with the delivery of any restructures/redundancies/re-deployment or TUPE In/Out programmes.
10. HR Coaching: Support the operational teams with up-to-date training on all HR policies and procedures.
Person Specification:
1. CIPD Level 5 or above, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management.
3. Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
5. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
7. Willing to travel occasionally to other ABM locations to support the wider HR function.
8. Background in Aviation is desirable.
9. Proficiency in Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Full UK Driving License required.
