Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Sandwell Council, Children's Care Management Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. SGO, Viability assessments, revocations of placement orders
2. Must understand that due to the peripatetic nature of work, they will be asked to do tasks as needed by the service but priority is fast track court applications for SGO
3. Must be excellent communicators with families, IROs, social workers, etc.
4. Court Work
5. Liaise with other professionals
6. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
7. 3 month Temporary Contract
8. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
