The Role...
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to be responsible for the Q-Line product line. Q-Line is an end to end sequencing solution which delivers the benefits of Oxford Nanopore Technologies in a locked-down standardised format. Q-Line products are suitable for all routine, internally validated sequencing workflows and environments where rapid and consistent results are required. This role will involve product management of the Q-Line products through the entire lifecycle from product development through to product launch and beyond.
This role will be responsible for the gathering and articulation of product requirements along with the definition of clear success criteria for product testing and acceptance. The Technical Product Manager will also be responsible for the creating and maintenance of comprehensive product documentation.
This position will work closely with the applied product development, engineering and software teams to deliver applied solutions to market that meet the needs of our customers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for keeping up to date with market trends, identifying opportunities and applying them to managed product lines.

1. Gathering and writing requirements
2. Identify and prioritise product features.
3. Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
4. Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
5. Uncover and understand strategic initiatives and customer needs and translate them into requirements.
6. Managing product through release phases, beta, early access and fully released.
7. Conduct market research to identify customer needs and opportunities for automation products.
8. Ability to work well with the developers, engineers, quality assurance, and other internal teams. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
9. Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities.
10. Work with marketing and sales teams to support product launches and go-to-market strategies.
11. Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community.
12. Provide training and support to internal teams on product features and capabilities.
What We Are Looking For...
13. A technical background with a bachelor's degree in a STEM subject.
14. Experience as a Product Manager, or similar, in a technical environment
15. Experience in molecular biology, in particular next generation sequencing
16. Experience with agile practices
17. Excellent verbal and written communication
18. An ability to build effective relationships and possess a flexible and collaborative approach
19. Experience with GMP projects is desirable
