Alongside the academic programme, you will have the opportunity to work alongside various teams across the highways, engineering and development management teams over a 5-year period which will give you a solid foundation to build your career upon as an Engineer at Telford & Wrekin Council.
You will gain an understanding of various disciplines and will be a key member of the team taking projects from inception to delivery. The programme will provide you experience of the following areas (but not limited to):

You will combine work with studying, working towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications while gaining valuable skills and practical experience.
Apprenticeships are available to anyone over the age of 16, not in full-time education and living in England.
If you hold a degree you will be eligible for an apprenticeship at any level, however the apprenticeship must provide you with substantive new skills, you must be able to evidence that the content of the training is materially different from any prior qualification or apprenticeship.
As a team member, you will work under the instruction / guidance of the team leader to undertake work.
You will be studying for BEng (Hons) in Civil and Transportation Engineering and securing Incorporated Engineering status with the Institute of Civil Engineers.
The apprenticeship content will be tailored to suit the tasks you will be doing in your day to day work and you will receive support and guidance in building a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your competence in the workplace.
