Box Leisure ''The Cutting edge of Leisure Careers'' Role - Health and Safety / Compliance Manager Permanent Hours - Full Time Salary - £40,000 About The Company one of the largest holiday park operators on the East Coast of Lincolnshire with a range of venues from Mablethorpe to Skegness. About The Role We are looking to recruit an exceptional Health & Safety / Compliance Manager based in Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire. This role will involve travelling to our sites between Skegness and Mablethorpe, as and when required. This is a permanent, full-time role. Your tasks will include but are not limited to: - Ensuring the Company is compliant with current H&S Legislation. - Undertaking periodic health and safety monitoring and site inspections at the Company’s various facilities, including its fishing lakes, golf courses, play areas and arcades. - Managing the Company’s index of Risk Assessment and Reviews, including its COSHH Risk Assessments. - Maintaining the Company's supplies of health and safety materials including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and first aid supplies. - Managing the Company’s fire safety obligations, including responsibility for fire evacuation and fire drill procedures. - Managing the Company’s Health and Safety training regime. - Managing and monitoring the Company’s Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 compliance, including updating its health and safety policy and other ancillary matters including arranging Legionella Risk Assessments. - Managing the health and safety of the Company’s legionnaires' testing. - COSHH compliance. - Collating, reviewing and processing all accident /incidents reports including liaising with insurers regarding personal injury claims or advising of potential claims. - Implementation and administration of the Prime H&S system. - Identifying safety risks and implementing measures to control them. - Drawing up suitable and sufficient risk assessments for one off events, such as festivals. - Acting as a point of contact for enforcing authorities such as The Environment Agency, Fire Service and Local Authority. - Liaising with external contractors and consultants (e.g. HGV transport consultant and electrical contractors), to ensure our continued compliance. About You - Must have a minimum of 3 years Health & Safety experience. - Must have sufficient training and experience in accordance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. - Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety rules and regulations. - Strong writing skills for policy creation and updating. - Strong attention to detail. - Great communication skills. - A proactive approach to Health & Safety in the workplace. - Preferably holds a diploma in Health & Safety and is CMIOSH Qualified. - Full driving licence is required for this job role, and must be willing to travel to other sites. - Good understanding of statutory property compliance, e.g. Fire, Legionella, Electrical, Gas, LOLER and Asbestos management.
