Amazon is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Space Planning Manager with a strong customer focus, broad industry knowledge, and advanced analytical skills. This role requires the ability to influence decision-making across your peers and senior leaders. You will execute and deliver detailed floorplans for new stores, retrofits, and in-season changes, owning the work back timelines and data analysis to support your decisions, communicating changes to senior leadership on the programme output, status and risks. You will need to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced business environment, collaborating with multiple teams and levels within the organization to ensure we deliver the broader strategic objectives of the business. Key job responsibilities - Manage creation of floor plans for new stores, retrofits, and special projects, possessing an understanding of internal and external variables that impact our work. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external partners while meeting tight deadlines. - Drive continuous improvement, utilising tracking mechanisms to ensure data driven choices are made that provide the highest possible CX. - Work closely with merchandising team to ensure there are planograms created for all space variances. - Develop data reporting to surface insights and report on KPIs. - Identify key customer metrics and utilise them to enhance customers' experience. About the team We are a dynamic team from a wide variety of backgrounds and industries that work hard, and importantly, have fun as we make history innovating and optimising the UKs first fully checkout free, tech-enabled merchandising offer. Our purpose is to deliver a best-in-class customer experience leading to scalable growth for the business through increased penetration, basket size, and frequency. We do this through floorplan and planogram optimisation, aiming to maximise sales while minimising operational costs. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business or related field - >3 years' experience in Merchandising and Space Planning or category management roles requiring data analysis, process improvements, creative problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration - Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and use customer research, data and metrics to back up, or disprove assumptions and identify opportunities. - High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. - Process driven, identifies risks and removes the future potential for these using clear processes and mechanisms - Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. - Proficiency in Excel. - Passionate and knowledgeable about customer behavior. - Ability to deliver results where there is ambiguity - Experience of designing and implementing new processes and customer programmes - An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications - Strong experience of industry standard space planning software (Blue Yonder) - Background in Visual Merchandising and Planogramming. - Experience creating and/or improving operational processes across teams/stakeholders - Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results - Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools.
