We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Full Sutton. HMP Full Sutton is a Category A men's prison near Pocklington, a half-hour drive from York city centre. The prison is purpose-built and has the capacity to hold 560 men in conditions of high security.

This is a bank role offering flexible hours to cover additional needs such as sickness and annual leave. The hourly rate is £15.84.

Main Duties of the Job
As our new Bank Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
* Ensure continuity of care for all patients and deliver outstanding care at all times
* Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods, etc.
* Respond to emergency situations as needed
* Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy, etc.
* Deliver personalized, non-judgmental care based on patient feedback
* Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing, and clinics

Qualifications
* Hold an NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent work experience
* Experience in a healthcare environment - hospital, prison, or within the community

* Although not essential, your own vehicle would be beneficial due to the location of the site
