Responsibilities:
1. Lead and support a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to deliver high-standard holistic care.
2. Guide the team in improving care quality, supporting colleagues and relatives, and delegating tasks safely.
3. Manage a group of service users, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, users, and families.
4. Conduct assessments of potential service users with the Head of Clinical Services/Ward Manager and in partnership with Health and Social Services.
5. Maintain accurate records of interactions in compliance with legislation and policies.
6. Ensure staff receive documented supervision and support ongoing staff development.
7. Educate and mentor patients, families, colleagues, and students as needed.
8. Uphold policies, ensure a safe environment, and maintain confidentiality.
9. Perform additional reasonable tasks to ensure smooth service operation.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse qualification or equivalent degree-level qualification.
* Experience in palliative or neurological care is desirable.
* Proven leadership and influencing skills.
* Knowledge of current care legislation.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing change and performance.
* Excellent communication skills, empathetic and clear.
* Negotiation and conflict management skills.
* Ability to teach and mentor in a clinical setting.
