We look forward to hearing from you Main Duties and Responsibilities: To be able to work independently without direct supervision. To ensure a high standard of clinical care, using a variety of assessment techniquesand to formulate individual treatment plans. To provide physiotherapy to children, often with a complex presentation usingspecialist skills to deliver and monitor treatment. To assess, liaise, monitor and request specialist equipment. To assess the childs/parents/carers understanding of assessment and treatmentproposals, gaining valid informed consent. To have the knowledge to work within alegal framework with children who lack the capacity to consent to treatment. To be responsible for the education of parents/carers/school staff and junior membersof the physiotherapy team in treatment interventions to ensure safe and effectivepractice. To formulate, evaluate and progress treatment programmes for the children, settingrealistic goals, jointly agreed with all parties. To evaluate the childs progress, reassess and alter treatment as required. To monitor treatment using sound measurement and validated outcomes. To continuously evaluate own practice ensuring it is up-to-date, evidence based, andcompliant with professional clinical guidelines. To manage clinical risk within own patient case load
