Your Role
Join us in shaping the future of Stockport Council! This exciting opportunity allows you to influence how we engage with residents and manage our built environment. As the strategic leader of the Council’s Development and Investment Estate, you will focus on enhancing our portfolio assets and delivering outstanding outcomes for our stakeholders.
Our estate includes diverse assets such as Stockport Exchange, Merseyway Shopping Centre, and Aurora Industrial Estate. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and executing asset plans, spearheading capital schemes, and managing external consultants supporting the investment estate. You will be a key member of the Estates and Asset Management leadership team within the Place Directorate, overseeing the council's land, property assets, and capital delivery program.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a strong customer focus, eager to tackle the challenge of advancing our estate. You should be adept at managing complex priorities and committed to delivering the best possible outcomes while efficiently managing resources to ensure Stockport maintains a safe and compliant estate.

Our service is responsible for the Council’s land and property assets and the execution of major capital projects. We are a diverse team of property professionals dedicated to achieving exceptional results for the Borough and our stakeholders. We collaborate closely with the wider Place Directorate and other council colleagues to support the Council’s priorities and the One Stockport Plan.
