My client is a global manufacturing company looking for a Production Engineer to join their existing team. Driven by success and excellence, they are looking for an experienced, electrically biased engineer to support the production and products.
Responsibilities for the role:
1. Support the production facility by setting wiring standards and ensuring the products are manufactured to the highest quality.
2. Position yourself as the technical lead for Electrical standards internally.
3. Regularly monitor production activity to ensure it is in line with the weekly and monthly plan.
4. Troubleshoot any electrical issues.
5. Conduct electrical inspections of the manufactured product.
6. Write standard operating procedures and quality documents.
7. Monitor production, analyzing any issues that impacted production and review and adapt the production plan as necessary.
8. Ensure that the full requirements of the ISO system are met.
9. Train the production teams in electrical assembly.
10. Supervise the work of the Production Operators to ensure Electrical standards are adhered to.
11. Liaise with the Stock Coordinator to ensure all components and raw materials are ready.
12. Liaise with the Dispatch Coordinator to ensure finished goods are ready for dispatch.
13. Support the daily and weekly Production meetings where necessary.
14. Complete Works Orders on the internal ERP.
15. Maintain a 5S system.
16. Support and motivate the production teams.
17. Work with the teams to ensure that Health and Safety policies and Electrical procedures are adhered to.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience within a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Experience of control systems and wiring is essential.
4. PLC awareness.
5. Excellent planning and organization skills.
6. Experience in a supervisory role, training skills, or working in a similar support function.
7. Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
8. Proven ability to meet and exceed customer requirements.
9. Good attention to detail.
10. Computer literate.
11. Excellent team player.
A time-served Engineer is essential, with working knowledge of Electrical standards, wiring, and control systems; the 18th edition BS7671 is desirable. Full product training will be given.
