We are growing our team in Darlington and are seeking dedicated and committed Care Assistants to join us and build positive relationships with our service users and their family.
You will need to be passionate about delivering the highest quality care to our service users, building positive relationships with them and their family whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible within the comfort of their own home.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a gentleman in his 50s, who lives in Darlington and requires a dedicated care team to support his care needs. He is unable to mobilise independently and requires the support of a care team to meet his complex clinical care needs, providing specialist 2:1 and 1:1 care throughout the day and night.
Throughout the day you will provide support with his personal care, moving and handling, clinical observations and attending to his clinical care needs when required. It is important to create a positive environment for him and support him in pursuing his hobbies, interests and engaging in social activities.
During the night, you will assist with personal care, repositioning, clinical observations, and attending to any medical requirements to ensure a peaceful night's rest.
This is a personally rewarding role where you can build on your skills and experience, whilst delivering exceptional care and support to our service users, really making an impact on his day-to-day life.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience in the following areas:
* 3 months' previous care experience
* Medication Administration
* Personal Care
* Moving and Handling
* Drivers with access to a vehicle
Experience working with the following clinical needs is desirable, however is not essential to be considered for this role:
* PEG Feeding
* Oral Suctioning
Shifts Available
* Part Time Available
* Days: 7am – 2:30pm
* Nights: 9:30pm – 7am
* Weekends: 2:30pm-9:30pm
Take a look at our pay rates
Weekdays: £13.50 per hour (£101.25 approx. per 7.5-hour shift)
Weeknights: £14.00 per hour (£133 approx. per 9.5-hour shift)
Saturday: £14.50 per hour (£101.50 approx. per 7-hour shift)
Sunday: £14.50 per hour (£101.50 approx. per 7-hour shift)
Bank Holiday: £15.00 per hour (£142.50 approx. per 9.5-hour shift)
