We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
* Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
* Support clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
* Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
* Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to ensure a safe environment for all clients.
* Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and follow individual care plans.
* Ensure that the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to the well-being of all residents.
Requirements
* Previous experience in home care, senior care, or a similar role is preferred.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A caring attitude towards individuals with varying needs, including those in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
* Relevant qualifications in health or social care would be beneficial but are not essential.
