Commercial Manager (Engineering)
We are a hugely successful and pioneering machinery manufacturer proud to be delivering innovative, bespoke solutions and turnkey systems to our customers all over the world. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a high-calibre Commercial Manager who will manage the day-to-day operations of the commercial team, across both new sales and aftercare. The Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining focus on business objectives, and fostering a high-performance culture within a team of 10 staff. In addition to managing the team, this role will be hands-on in executing tasks and driving key deliverables as well as collaborating closely with customers ensuring technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

* Proven leadership experience in managing commercial teams in a technical or engineering-based environment. Experience in the packaging, FMCG, food, or beverage sectors is highly desirable.
* Excellent people management skills: Ability to mentor, develop, and motivate team members, ensuring accountability and high performance.
* Hands-on operational experience, with the ability to execute tasks while leading a team.
* Strong technical understanding, particularly related to mechanical or electrical engineering.
* Strong commercial skills: Able to manage complex sales processes, negotiate contracts, and develop commercially viable solutions for customers.
* Customer-focused: Able to engage effectively with customers, understand their challenges, and provide tailored solutions that add value to their business, experienced at translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
