Job summary Clinical Fellow (IM3 equivalent) in General Medicine Applications are invited for a junior LED post to join ourGeneral Medicine department. The post will cover the general wards here at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust primarily and is ideally suited for doctors who have an interest in conditions affecting this cohort of patients and for preparing their portfolio for ST4 recruitment and has opportunites to explore a candidates specialist interests. There will also be an acute on-call element included with this post and funding for a PGCert in medical education is included, as are opportunities to take part in delivering medical education and QI. The post is available immediately and is likely a permanent post pending a successful 12 month review with the Clinical lead. The post would also be helpful for anyone looking for support for a CESR portfolio pathway career trajectory if made permanent after 12 months. Although this post does not have Deanery approval for training purposes, recognised training will be provided and Barnsley is in the top rated Trusts nationally based on recent survey results via the GMC/NTS and permanent staff surveys.
