On behalf of our food processing client, TQR are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance activities of an expanding factory, ensuring operations are efficient, safe, and primed for success. As a result of recent investment from its parent company, several capital expenditure projects are planned, in support of the company’s growth ambitions. Here's how you will make a difference: Elevate Operational Excellence: By managing all engineering and maintenance activities, you will ensure facilities operate at peak efficiency, supporting expansion into new markets. Empower Your Team: Lead and inspire your engineering team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve exceptional performance. Enhance Safety and Compliance: Implement robust safety procedures and ensure all certifications and QMS paperwork are meticulously managed, creating a safe and compliant work environment. Optimize Resource Utilization: Drive cost savings and efficiency by optimizing plant and machinery performance, reducing wastage, and negotiating the best prices for parts and orders. Foster Strategic Collaboration: Engage with department heads to communicate progress and spearhead improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with growth objectives. Champion Preventative Maintenance: Develop and oversee a preventative maintenance system that minimizes downtime and maximizes equipment reliability, supporting long-term success. Support Strategic Growth: Provide critical insights and data for Board and Senior Management reports, influencing strategic decisions that drive expansion and investment initiatives. Expected Experience It’s highly likely that you’ll already be working in a similar role – i.e. as an Engineering Manager within the food sector, or you’re looking for a step up from a maintenance engineering role to lead and develop your own team. You’ll preferably have recognised engineering qualifications, either mechanical or electrical, and be proficient in both disciplines. What’s on offer A starting salary of up to £49,000. 33 days holiday including bank holidays. Monday to Friday role, with occasional Saturdays during seasonal peaks in production.
