We have opportunities for friendly enthusiastic and customer focused people to join our Catering Team on an "as and when" basis.
Shift patterns cover (6am to 8pm - 7 days a week). Whilst regular work is not guaranteed, applicants can give as much or as little availability as they like.
Main duties of the job
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Delivering food to and serving patient food to the wards areas
2. Using ward ovens to regenerate food
3. Keeping the ward kitchen clean
4. Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP
5. Washing up and other general cleaning duties.
6. The role also could involve working in cold rooms to pick and seal patient food and also working in pot wash.
The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised. Full training will be provided.Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend.

9. Enhanced Pay for unsocial hours worked - unsocial hours are any hours worked on weekends or between the hours of 8pm and 6am. At Band 2, the enhancements are: all time on Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8 pm and before 6 am - time plus 41% ( £ per hour) or all time on Sundays and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight) - time plus 83% ( £ per hour).

Essential
13. Good basic education which includes reading and writing plus basic numeric skills
14. Basic understanding or a willingness to complete appropriate qualifications and training which includes Food Hygiene Level 2

15. BICSc Qualification/NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning/Catering or equivalent
Experience & Knowledge

16. Awareness of security and access control within the workplace
17. Able to read, write and converse in English

20. Able to use small and large pieces of equipment such as Regeneration oven/dishwashers/Floor machinery
