Technical Support Engineer
My Yorkshire based client is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Support Engineer to provide a first class support function to end users across multiple sites.
Working in a small team, the IT Support Technician will:
* Operate and manage the IT Helpdesk, triaging incoming tickets, undertaking diagnosis and resolution in line with predefined SLA's, escalating where appropriate.
* Provide a comprehensive second line support across hardware, software, networking and system access.
* Undertake hardware and software installation and maintenance.
* Undertake proactive maintenance and updates in order to mitigate risk.
* Undertake accurate documentation for IT processes, system configuration and user guides.
* Develop and update the knowledge base.
* Undertake continuous improvement, staying current with the latest technology trends and best practices.
* Assist in the training and onboarding of new starters.
* Provide project support for major IT projects, taking ownership of assigned tasks ensuring timely and successful completion.
* Take an interest in the learning and support of Business systems and Data – specifically SQL, Reporting and Enterprise applications.
Technically, the successful IT Support Analyst will possess the following:
* Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Server 2016 onwards
* Office 365 applications,
* Microsoft InTune
* Active Directory, Group Policies
* Hyper-V
* Backup technologies – ideally Veeam)
* IP Telephony (Avaya / RingCentral).
* Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
* Experience in managing wireless networks (Unifi)
* Wide Area Networking using SonicWall Firewalls
* Mimecast Security Solutions
* Dell Server Hardware
* HP Storage Area Networks (SAN)
* Artificial Intelligence – Co-Pilot
* SQL Server
* Power BI
This role will necessitate a current driving licence and a willingness to travel throughout the UK as required
