Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our dedicated team at our school in Stockton. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics lessons and supporting students in their academic progress. This is a full-time, long-term position with working hours from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students.
Evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations, providing individualised support as needed.
Create a positive learning environment in the classroom, promoting student engagement and academic success.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students' academic progress.
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics.
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and educational policies.
Desired Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Education (PGCE).
Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
Strong organisational skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The teacher will be expected to work full-time hours during term time, with additional responsibilities such as parent-teacher meetings and extracurricular activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
