Education and Training
£20 - £30 Per hour
Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored academic support to Key Stage 3 (KS3) Looked After Children (LAC) in a one-on-one or small group setting
* Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on students' needs and goals
* Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to ensure academic improvement
* Collaborate with school staff, social workers, and parents to support the overall well-being and educational development of LAC students
Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
* Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with LAC students
* Experience working with Looked After Children (LAC) or vulnerable young people
* Understanding of the UK education system and curriculum for Key Stage 3
* Ability to create engaging and effective learning activities
* Strong assessment and feedback skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills:
* Additional training in supporting children with special educational needs
* Experience working in a multi-agency team environment
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, supporting LAC students in an educational setting. The work may require flexibility in terms of scheduling and location.
